I have lost the video on WMP & Power DVD, clips & DVD play; I have sound but
no image. This started after I reformatted my computer. I checked the
drivers; I'm running XP Home sp3. Thanks for any help.

Well, I have to say I'm a new potato, but I have come into this trouble
before.
My suggestion is to reinstall WMP ,because it contains a WMV decoder
without which any other video players couldn't play wmv files correctly.
Maybe, you need to install other decoders which is lost at the time you
fomatted the driver.
Good Luck.

After you reformat and reinstall XP you have to install the drivers for your
hardware. Get the drivers for XP from the website of the maker of your
computer. XP does not have a built in DVD decoder, you must install Power
DVD, Nvidia Pure Video, Win DVD, or Google for freeware video codecs. You
must have a DVD decoder or you can't play DVD's.
