Advice Required From Changing From IE & OE Please.......................

Dave

Hi Guys,

I am a relative newbie, but I am not to keen on IE & OE, and I want to move
away from:

Internet Explorer to Firefox

Outlook Express to Mozilla Thunderbird.

Ok, this is my problem, when I use Outlook Express in the newsgroups and
there are multiple files, I highlight them, click on Message from the top
toolbar then I click on Combine & Decode, is there a way to do it for
Mozilla Thunderbird, or are there any (free, obviously) programs. If there
are any programs, could you please point me in the right direction.

What are the preferred or best programs if any that you guys use?

I really appreciate your valuable experience.

Many thanks guys.

Thunderbird is a great e-mail client, and pretty similar to OE in that
regard, but as news client (just like OE) it's support for binaries is just
terrible. For binary newsgroups you are better off using either Xnews of
40tude Dialog.

40tude Dialog - IMHO the only one I would use.
