address bar history

hello all,

for the last few days, i have been trying to delete all of the history from
the address bar in internet explorer. the problem is this: when i type the
letter "g," and only "g" in the address bar, a drop down list appears with
just about every single google search that i have ever done. the following
is an example of what appears in the drop down list, along with about 30
others just like it: "http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=espn"

this also happens when i type "www.g"

to solve this problem, i deleted all history of viewed websites, cookies,
and temporary internet files. and this worked great...it deleted all of the
past google searches from the drop down list.

all except one...and it is really annoying. from this point, i searched the
registry for anything related to google, and this search. what i found, i
deleted. then i rebooted and typed "g" into the address bar. the google
search is still listed in the drop down list.

can someone help me delete this damn thing? thanks for your help in advance.

Hi nate :)

You might try this utility and see if it helps:

CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
or
http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144-10315544.html

You might also try deleting the History folder, and creating a new one
according to the following:

To create a new History Folder

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm (XP systems)

Hope this helps
