"Personal Address Book" means something very specific - a legacy (pre
OL2000) thing that uses a ___.pab file. Not needed in OL2003, and not
recommended.

Use your contacts folder to hold your address entries. You can't add items
in the Address Book view, but your contacts folder should work as an address
book & show up when you hit the TO button, etc....

If it isn't, right click on your contacts folder, go to properties, Outlook
Address Book, and tick the box.

If it's grayed out, you need to add the Outlook Address Book service to your
mail profile - tools | e-mail accounts | view or change existing
directories.... next. Do you see Outlook Address Book in there? If not,
choose Add, Additional Address Books, and pick Outlook Address Book...add
it.
