access error

for some reason my ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 series, realtek RTL8139/810x family
fast ethernet NIC, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 processor 3000+, have issues they wont
work, and i cant reinstall them in the device manager. please help me. also i
have a "unknown device" under sound, video and game controllers. All i get
when i try to update drivers is a stupid access error msg
