im trying to install a realtek rtl8139/810x family fast
ethernet nic but every time i get the message "the
ndis.vxd,ntkern.vxd device loader for this device could
not load the device driver {code 2]" im running win 98.
when told to update driver am told the best driver is
already installed warning ! is next to this device in
device manager

Easy solution replace the card witha different brand ok. use d-link
or 3com

This is an XP newsgroup, not 98. Try downloading Win98 drivers from the
manufacturer's web site.
