A different error code when trying to update WD definitions

Add me to the list of those who have failed to update their WD definitions. I
get this error code: 0x80072efd. Since I'm running with definition version
1.0.0.0 created 1/25/06, I really need to update. A couple months ago I
successfully upgraded Windows XP to SP2 and had no problems until now. Please
help.

That error indicates a failure to connect to the update servers and is
addressed in this KB. Are you on a home computer or behind a corporate
network/firewall?

That code usually indicates a firewall preventing access. Are you on a
managed, corporate or institutional network? If not, do you have a firewall
that controls outbound access by apps on your machine?

Many thanks for link. I changed the permissions on my firewall and WD updated
beautifully.
