128 Bit Encryption problems

A

Alex

It appears that my Internet Explorer 6.0 is not set up
with 128 bit encryption and therefore I cannot view
certain pages and keep getting messages like so:

Invalid Browser

-----------------------------------------------------------
---------------------

Security controls always need to advance, in order to
keep pace with technology. 128-bit SSL encryption is now
an industry standard and we cannot take risks when dealing
with personal Customer data. To upgrade your browser now,
simply click one of the links below. Once your browser is
upgraded you can begin using our service.

Can anyone help me change my settings ?

Are you sure you have ie6? This comes standard with ie6.
Choose Help & About Internet Explorer. This will tell
you your version number & cipher strength.

That site doesn't have anything for IE 6 running on
Windows 98.
My cipher strength is set to 0.
How do I fix it?

Cipher Strength Appears as 0-Bit in Internet Explorer
When you click About Internet Explorer on the Help menu, the cipher strength
entry may be "0-Bit" and you may be unable to connect to secure Web sites.
