Zoom?

On MAC OSX, there's a neat little zoom feature that zooms in on the
screen and can pretty much be used any time. I'm wondering if there's
anything similar, even in another application, for WinXP?

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type in: ZOOM , and hit enter.
Click on the tutorial titled : "Magnifier overview".
