ZoneAlarm with WinXP

Masaru

I've installed ZoneAlarm 3.7 (free version) on a WinXP pro
machine. The same version worked absolutely fine on Win98
SE, but it does not with XP. Even with programs given
access, all connections are refused. If ZoneALarm isn't
running, internet access works fine, even with XP's
firewall. According to download.com, there isn't a
compatibility problem, nor widespread complaints about
this. Would anyone know what's causing this problem?

Well, it seems you've narrowed it down to ZA. A ZA forum
would probably give you better answers on what settings
you should look for...

Masaru;
I have the FREE version of Zone Alarm. I have very little problem with
it. READ the instructions.
Hope this helps. Let us know.

I have XP pro running ICP and ZA (free) parallel without known problem. ZA
was installed first, ICP activated later. But checking ports with free scans
show the ICMP (ping) port remained wide open, unfortunately.
