Zone Labs update

I have just updated ZoneLabs and then couldn't get a wireless connection. In ZoneLabs I went to Firewall and added my IP address in Add To Trusted Zone. I have now got my connection back but have I done the right thing ? I'm just concerned that I might have given left the door open for anything from my IP address (and will that be everything?) to evade the firewall.
