Zone Alarm is still "Screwed"

Just installed Zone Alarm Free version 7.0.337 from this link:
http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp
It was an update over the previous version.

As it installed, I saw it apply MailFroniter modules.
After reboot both Outlook and Outlook Express have Spam Filtering
and a pop-up box to configure spam filtering. I once again have Spam
folders in all my email clients/profiles.

All I can state is that Zone Alarm free is no longer the same product
as it was in version 7.0.302. There was NO option to not install the
MailFrontier or whatever they call the SPAM filtering.

I won't use version 7 of their product.. had it installed to upgrade - and
Windows Security Center was going bonkers. I was getting prompted to turn
Zone Alarm on, even though it was up and running. Also Status of Firewall
unknown when it would load. The one time I did "(supposedly) turn it on" it
turned up within a few mouse clicks that Windows ICF was running in its
place. LOL I removed it, and re-installed 6.

I've just upgraded to 7.0.337 with no problems.
Anti-virus and e-mail scanning (MailSafe) were already disabled in
v.7.0.302.
Did you leave the "Upgrade" radio button selected or choose "Clean
Install"?
"Upgrade" saves your previous settings.
My "new" version still has Anti-Virus and e-mail protection in the left
hand menu of "Overview", with options to turn both off via radio
buttons.

I suspect you may have downloaded the "free" trial suite instead of Free
ZoneAlarm.
Try this link
http://www.zonealarm.com/store/cont...sp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en&lid=staticcomp_za
Click on "I only want basic ZoneAlarm protection".
Might be advisable to uninstall your current version first.

Unfortunately, the URL you included is where I downloaded and
I did select the "I only want Basic Zone Alarm Protection:"module.

In my current setup (7.0.302) Email/AV monitoring is disabled.
The install was selected as an upgrade over the 7.0.302 version.
It's done this twice and that's about all the time/effort I can spend
on it at the moment.

Are you referring to ZA Pro here, Smirnoff?

I've reverted to 6.1.744.001 because of this and the problems in the
last few versions. They caused bloating of restore points with backups
of ZA's database every few minutes, and ZA to add every program I ever
run to Program Control, even one-off setup.exe's or programs such as
Notepad and the Command line that will never ask for Internet access.
