Zone Alarm Free Version 7.0.362

FYI:
Several weeks ago I posted a notice about the current Zone Alarm
Free version 7.0.337 having some issues with MailFrontier and a
few other undesirable attributes.

CheckPoint has now posted version 7.0.362 (2000/Xp and a
separate download for Vista). I've installed and test this on a number
of PCs and can report that it installs and performs OK. It does not
exhibit the problems that 7.0.337 had.

*One difference is a small downloader module which you must run
to actually obtain the full code. It will offer either Download only or
Download and Install.

Windows XP Version 7.0.362 40.6 Megabytes
Windows Vista Version 7.1.078 18.0 Megabytes

I tried version 7 free, and didn't find anything offered that wasn't
offered in older versions of ZA free. The free version is just the
firewall portion, and you don't need a 40mb download for just the free
firewall. I went back to the last version of 6... version 6.5.737. I'm
not convinced that the new versions offer any additional security if
all you are using is the free basic firewall... plus, I'm used to the
old ZA icon in the tray.
