Zone Alarm and shares?

I tried Zone Alarm and found that a shared disk could no longer be seen
on a different machine. Upon removing ZA, the share could be seen
again. Can some one tell me how to fix this?

Zone Alarm appears to be functioning fine. The problem appears to be
that Windows uses the "network" in some undocumented ways. Zone Alarm
only detects this situation.

I will contact ZA, however. I'll bet it's not the first time they have
encountered this problem, but their product is not at fault.
