Zipped folder error

Hello, everytime i try and download a zipped or
compressed folder i get an error!! "The compressed
(zipped} folder is invalid or corrupted. Everytime,
everywhere. I have to go to another computer and download
it and then get it from my computer!!! PIA
Does anyone have a clue on a fix for this??

My problem isn't with the extraction of a zipped folder,
when i try to download a zipped folder from a website i
get that error. If i download the zipped folder from the
web from my second computer, then get it from this
computer i can then extract it, i just can't get them
from the web.
