Zipped Files showing under Folder

Hi. Win XP - SP1. When I save a ZIP file into a Folder called D:\Files, then
open Windows Explorer the ZIP files show "under" the Folder. In the
right-hand window all the other files (exe, txt, pdf, etc) as well as the
ZIP files are shown. I have several ZIP files in this folder, and it takes
Windows Explorer longer to show this File folder because it is showing all
the ZIP files directly under the "Files" folder. Anyone know where/If this
setting can be changed. It did not do this at one time. I may have changed a
setting somewhere. Thanks for any idea's.

Hi,

This fix is two-fold, sad to say. But here it is:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll

Big Thank You Kindly Kelly. This "run" command did fix the left hand window
problem. No more Zip file icons shown. But... found that the right hand
window where all my files are shown now had the zip file icons shown as a
small square icon. Sooooo... I clicked on the zip icon down in the task bar,
and a window poped up stating that no zip files were associated, would I
like to associate them. I clicked yes, and low and behold everything seems
to be working correctly. Below you suggested that the problem was two-fold,
did I loose the second part somewhere? Again Thank you...
