Zipped (compressed) folders

The options under File-New include 'zipped (compressed) folders' unless you
install other compression software, like Stuffit, when this option is then
deleted and the new on is added to the menu. I uninstalled Stuffit but the
'Zipped (compressed) folders' option did not reappear.

Any idea how to get it back?

Ok, I got it back. I'm a little confused about what happened, but it was
something like this:

After I uninstalled a zip utility that I had previously installed, zip files
no longer had a zipper icon, and when I right-clicked on files and folders I
didn't see anything about zipped or compressed folders any more. However, I
could still explore zip folders, and extract from them while I was exploring
them. Also, there was still a zipped folders option in the "send to" list. In
fact, possibly everything was working as it should except the icon. I'm not
sure, because I didn't find out how the built-in zip utility was supposed to
work until after I got the icon back.

The way I got the icon back was by right-clicking a zip file, going into its
properties, clicking the "Change" button next to "Opens with," and choosing
"Compressed (zipped) Folders."
