YV12 codec

I am trying to play a video with different format. I have
a YUV player on top of WM. Whenever I am playing that
file, it plays only with I420, if I use YV12 or IMC1,2,3.
The WM tried to download Codec, then I get "error
downloading codec". Eventhough, these formats is supported
by WM. I am have directx9.0b already installed, also I
have administrator access.
I use the same proxies as the web browser. Is this might
be the problem.

are the video encoded in Divx or Xvid maybe. DirectX has nothing to do with
video codec's.

it is YUV format. noncompressed. but the 4cc format for
the file is YV12. where I save it as Y V U.
