"You do not have permission..." note

Running WinXP home, SP-2. After running OK for several weeks, I'm now
getting a note "You do not have permission to change Catalyst control
settings.....contact administrator..."

I Am the only one using this computer, as administrator. I've
removed/reinstalled the ATI Catalyst drivers, run sfc /scannow. No help.

Any thoughts?

Reinstalled SP-2, solved the problem. But I have no idea what caused it
originally, so am not particularly enlightened.
