Yes, you are correct. Now that I look more closely, I
found the fax program under my "accessories". It looks to
me like it is a windows program attached to Windows...?
I've got windows 95, if that helps. I copied the link:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AWSNTO32.EXE Is this helpful? I know
that when I use it, the fax goes into my Outlook program,
which I can then open and print.

Again, if I just reinstall Outlook, will my old data still
be there? Or will everything get deleted?

You won't lose any data, but I doubt reinstalling Outlook will help.
Do you have any other error messages? The one you posted is of no help.
Most likely the MAPI spooler is stalled from the Fax Reception attempt. When
Outlook appears to be closed, does it or your MAPI spooler still appear in
your Close Programs dialog?
When you open your Fax program, are there any faxes pending in your Inbox or
Outbox?
