I have 2 PCs and 1 laptop on a Windows P2P network.
All computers are running WinXPsp2
All computers are using SFS
FPS is enabled on all 3 computers
The 2 PCs are connected to the network through the LAN port on the router.
The Laptop is connected to the network through the wireless connection.
2 printers are connected to PC1
PC1 can see both of the other computers but when attempting to access the
shared folders a password prompt pops up
PC2 can see LT1 but when attempting to access the laptop's shared folders a
password prompt pops up
PC2 can see PC1 and has access to the shared folders and the printers
without a password prompt
Same with the laptop
LT1 can see PC2 but when attempting to access the shared folders a password
prompt pops up
Now, as near as I can tell, the computers are all configured the same.
Entering the administrator ID and PW grants me access to both PC2 and LT1
Any ideas as to why I can connect one way and not the other?
Thanks much,
Rich
