drive again. Same story, although this time I changed my
BIOS to C, CDROM, A when installing. It has come to me
that whenever one uses an XP upgrade with a clean
install, this is what happens. Just can't figure how to
get around it.
You must have a weird BIOS version.
My system's BIOS is always set to boot:
Floppy first, CDROM second, Hard Drive (C
third.
Unless I have a bootable diskette or bootable CD inserted the system
automatically boots from the hard drive.
And if there is a bootable CD inserted then that will be detected and
I will be given a choice of booting from the CD or not.
Given your history of problems with installing and booting I think
that you need to get a hardware technician to check out your computer.
Something is definitely amiss.
Good luck
