Yellow Vertical Bars on Monitor

Adam

Hello,
I just finished building my new computer and bought the All-in-Wonder 9800
Pro as my graphics card.

The problem I am having now is I am getting four or five vertical bars on
the monitor screen a few times per day. To get rid of them I can just click
on the "show desktop" button on the quick launch bar. The vertical bars are
usually a yellow "see through" color. They show up a lot of times when I am
scrolling up or down on a page

Right now I am using 1280x1024 resolution with 32big color quality and
70hertz refresh on a 19inch Daewoo monitor.

I have installed all of the latest drivers from ATI's web site and also
formatted and re-installed WIN XP.

Right now all I have installed is Windows XP Home, ATI Drivers, Creative
Audigy LS drivers and windows updates. I have not installed any software
yet until I can get this problem fixed.

I have also double checked that everything is plugged in and screwed tight
into the back of the computer.

The rest of my computer info is:
WinXP Home - Service Pack 1
Pentium 4 - 3.0Ghz
1 Gig of ram (dual 512mb 3200 sticks)
All in Wonder 9800 Pro
Creative Audigy LS
Gigabyte Motherboard: GA-8IPE1000 Pro (with Intel 864PE Chipset)

If there is any other info needed please let me know.
THANKS
Adam

70 Hz is slow, you might want to increase the refresh rate
to 80-85 Hz to reduce flicker effect. You card can handle
that.

It sounds a lot like a signal leak due to damaged shielding
in a cable or even on a card. It could even be power line
related 70 Hz is close to the 60 Hz line frequency.
