Yellow Shield "Downloading" in Tool Bar. What?

Hi,

I'm running XP Pro, Norton antivirus, and ZoneAlarm free firewall. I
recently noticed a yellow shield with an exclamation mark on it, in my
tool bar. Pointing to it reveals "Downloading" and a %. I can't get any
further information from this icon, with single/double left/right
clicking. It is not my Symantic Norton Antivirus, because that has its
own distinctive toolbar icon.

I don't know what is downloading, whether or not it is something bad, or
how to stop it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm replying to myself. The problem was just solved. After the icon read
99%, an on-screen message appeared saying that it was a Windows update, sent
automatically.
