How do I stop Yahoo Messenger from starting up during Boot UP? I checked
the preferences stting and start at boot time is not selected. I also used
MSconfig and removed the setting there but it comes back when I reboot.

I can't say that I'm able to replicate that here. Starts like a champ when
it's told to here but, well, then it refuses to log on for a while. Ah
well... But anyhow, my recommendation is to check to see if it's the latest
version and if so to take a peek here:
