xpuninst.exe question

I finally found spuninst.exe. It is not located where KB 875350 said it
is. It is located in a directory
C:\windows\softwaredistribution\download\. . . . When I run
SPuninst.exe from DOS, it tells me it is going to uninstall the entire
XP OS, not just SP2. Should I still run it? Would I then be able to
load my update version of XP Pro?

That would be the file needed to uninstall the update that is not yet
installed.
You need to locate the spunist for the update you want installed.
Every update that can be uninstalled has its own spunist so it is not a good
idea to use the wrong one.
You seem to be in the middle of this and have left out what your problem is
and what you need to do.
You need to post more details.
