Hi!
Very recently, there was a post showing a link, a URL which promised
to show how to remove SP2 from Windos Home Edition.

I clicked on that link and followed directions:

1: It said to RUN appwiz.cpl. click on SHOW UPDATES and then
delete.
Guess what? There was no SHOW UPDATES, anywhere!

2: It also said to RUN
c:windows\$NTServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe.
Guess what? It could not find the file on my C drive. I triple
checked every typed character..one by one, several times, and
backwards.

No, I'm not a conspiracy wacko...the instructions probably do not
includ all builds of xp home. And there were many. I ordered the
disk...maybe there'll be an uninstall on the CD.

I'm going to eat worms now!

Hi

There should be an entry in Add/Remove Programs to uninstall SP2.

Hi,

The C:\Windows\$NTServicePackUninstall$ is a hidden folder.

To view hidden folders ....

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Click on 'Folder Options'
3. Click on 'View' tab
4. Find 'Hidden Files and Folders' entry and click on the ' Show hidden
files and folders' radio button
5. click on OK

Does that help ?

Regards,

Tim
