XPSP2 disable network via cli

Hi!

I tried to disable my network connection using

netsh interface set interface name ="LAN" DISABLED

but, doesn't work!

Any ideas?

Want to avoid using devcon?

Simply open device mgr,expand the tree for internet connection,R.click,
select,disable,close out device mgr.

Right-click on the selected network connection. A pop-up menu appears.
If the connection is currently enabled, the first option in this menu
will be "Disable."Click on it.
