XPPro screensaver changes display orientation of dual monitors

Hi,

I use XPPro on a system with an ATI Radeon 9200 videocard
with two identical monitors. I set the display orientation
such that the left monitor is number 2, the right is
number 1, both with the same resolution.
Since I installed the latest XP updates (last Friday 17
October 2003) whenever the screensaver (doesn't matter
which one, all std Windows) has been active the display
orientation is changed: number 2 is on top of number 1.
I change it back and it stays that way until the next
screensaver activation. Rebooting with the proper
orientation doesn't help.
Does anybody know how to solve this irritating problem?

Have you tried installed or reinstalling the latest Catalysts? Possibly the
update upset something in your configuration....

Hi,

thanks for the comments, but that was my idea too. The
problem started after a recent Windows update and haven't
be solved by installing the latest ATI drivers. :-(
