Hi NG,
I use Vista 32 bit and have a strange behaviour. Perhaps someone knows
the reason?
System boot time to login is 30 sec. This is quite fast, I guess
(compared to XP which takes remarkable longer).
After login everything is working fine. Web and LAN access is available.
Only if I launch a program that requires privileged rights (full admin
access) like regedit or access to a restricted folder etc. it takes
exactly to 2 minutes after 1st login until this action is executed. If
this delay of 2 minutes after 1st login is over I can repeat the same
action and any other that requires privileged rights without any further
delay. Strange, isn't it?
Do others notice the same behaviour and is there a way around this?
BTW, machine is a Dell Latitude D400 with 1.5 GB RAM. It doesn't matter
if I use Vista Ultimate or another version. Occurs with English and
German versions, too.
Thank you all
Linus
