XPHome install hang...

I've tried booting from the CD and it hangs on the blue screen step of "Windows is starting" (before it copies all application files... after it copies the install files). I've also tried booting from boot disks, but it hangs with a "Please wait" after obtaining everything from all disks.

This is a brand new MB and P3. Ideas?
 
Go into cmos and disable any anti-virus, any cache options
like shadow etc. Make sure hardware is compatible with XP.
