Xpe and Image Acquisition

I'm trying to connect a Canon digital camera to my XPe box. I have included
both the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) components into my OS image and
basically it works. However...

Under the selected camera in "Scanners and Cameras" in the control panel,
you can select what to do when the camera is attached (eg. run the windows
camera wizard or automatically upload any photos from the camera to a
defined folder). Regardless of what I set this to, nothing happens. The
camera does pop up in My Computer when connected and its photos can be
accessed correctly from there.

Problem is I need to have the photos uploaded automatically when the camera
is connected. I checked and it all works perfectly on my system's other
partition which is running XP Pro, so it seems to be an XPe issue.

Anyone worked with digital cameras and XPe and might have some help?

The camera is a PowerShot S100. With an older Fuji camera, Windows simply
mounted the camera as a removable drive which actually suited me perfectly -
is it possible to have newer cameras operate in this (older) way?

Thanks in advance,
Jim.

Jim,

Do you have the Still Image base class -- component "USB
Digital Camera" -- in your image? I found that it was
missing when I added the IBM Net Pro Camera and Photo
Album application drivers to an existing XPE image (got
INF section missing error and tracked it down through
setupapi.log).

HTH, Roy
