XPE and Baseline Security Analyzer

We purchased a high end printing system that utilizes an XPE PC that acts as the controller for the printers. The vendor states that only one port is open with the highest security setting, however I want to verify this for myself. As a result I am unsuccessfully attempting to run baseline security against this PC, however the analyzer keeps telling me I need admin right on the device I want to scan; I have admin rights on this device. Since XPE is basically XP without a lot of the features and system files, some files baseline analyzer is expecting to find are not available. Can anyone tell me why I am unable to run baseline analyzer with this device?

Chris:

Are you trying to install the MS Baseline Security Analyzer on the XPe
device and it's not allowing you? Or are you running this s/w from another
pc and it's pointing at the XPe box to analyze and it's not working? I seem
to recall that a year or so ago I loaded this s/w on my XPe device and it
ran.

One thing you may want to consider is the Retina security tool. Goto
http://www.eeye.com/html/Products/Retina/index.html.
We have this on a laptop and test numerous boxes by pointing Retina at
specific ip address.
