xp2 upgrade on dell 2400

Hi,

Doing an xp2 upgrade on a dell 2400. However when I run the install disk I
get the error message "extraction failed - file is corrupt I386\msgina.dl.

I had downloaded the xp2 update from microsoft as my friend is still on dial
up.

Any ideas what the error is..I have done a clean install prior to the
upgrade.

Order the free CD from MS or download the IT SP2 file (266
MB) again, as the message says you copy burned to the CD is
damaged.

I assume you've burned it to CD for your friend? in which case I'd tr
making another copy which hopefully won't have the corrupted file
Failing this the Microsoft CD with SP2 is appearing on magazine cover
and in some retailers so try using one of those.
