XP2 install causes IBM Netvista 8305 crash

I have an IBM netvista 8305 PC P4 2.4, 768 MB RAM, 80GB HD, BIOS IBM
24KT54AUS 6/4/04 that runs WinXP as a "server" in a peer-to-peer network of
about 6 workstations. This machine has standard stuff installed ...
Quickbooks 2003, Office XP Pro SP2, AOL, etc. and ran fine on SP1

SP2 was installed with no problems and all apps run fine, other workstations
can access file share/printers, etc. However, 3-4 times a day the system
unexpectedly reboots with error code 100000d1, event 1003 category 102 in
event log. Display , BIOS, network card device drivers have been updated but
it still occurs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

Is a dump file created? Or is it spontaneous?

Hello,

It is completely spontaneous. The machine will all of a sudden reboot --
the only telltale sign being a single entry (as described below) in the event
log. This will happen 2-3 times daily, sometimes with nobody actually
working on the computer itself....

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

I should've phrased that differently. If the system is not set to create a
dump (a minidump will do normally), set it to do so and also disable the
"autorestart on system failure" settings, as we need more specifics. A blue
screen stop error and/or dump (dmp) file can help pinpoint the errant
driver.
