XP2 Hibernation Problem

Hi!
I'm fighting a losing battle with my machine settings. I do not want it to
go into standby, as I prefer hibernation, and it shuts down completely, yet
is pretty instataneous getting back into action. My problem is, when i set
it up to go into hibernation with my sleep button on the keyboard, it works
O.K. for a day or two, then decides on it's own to go back into standby mode
settings, even though I told it to NEVER standby! What am I missing???

Thier is a hotfix for "standby" in xp SP2,its #914028 You might chk out
the details for it...Also,thier is a hotfix for hibernation,its #909095
