I am booting x64 from cd.. setup, does not detect the hard drive.

My computer came loaded with 32bit Vista Home, but I have a Intel Dual Core
(Merom) which Intel lists as having 64 bit architecture.

My full specs are:
Dell Inspiron 1525
Intel Merom Dual Core 1.6
120GB Seagate SATA
2GB Ram

Go in the BIOS and set the SATA controller to IDE emulation mode, after
Windows is installed install the controller drivers then change the
controller mode back to SATA mode in the BIOS.

Or copy the controller drivers to a floppy diskette and use the F6
method to supply the drivers to the Windows setup program. You can
change the SATA mode.
