XP Won't turn computer off

I upgraded from 98SE to XP and to SP2 but it still
doesn't turn off my computer. How can I fix?

1. Make sure ACPI is enabled in the BIOS. Open up Power Options in the
Control Panel and make sure everything is set correctly in the Advanced tab.
2. Is your hardware compliant?
