XP won't start up

Hey everyone,

I installed a new 200MB Seagate hard drive on my computer two weeks
ago. I was running some Norton Systemworks maintainence on it and it
just shut itself off. When it restarted, XP wouldn't load. I'd get
the HP screen that always comes up, and the Seagate screen. Instead of
the Windows XP screen coming up, the screen stays black.

I've tried some solutions in the MS Knowledge Base to fix boot.ini
problems, but none of them seem to work. Does anyone have any idea
what could be wrong or what I could do to fix it? Thanks.

Is it a 200gb drive?

Are the jumpers set correctly?

Yeah, 200GB, sorry that was a typo. And yes, the jumpers are set to
make this hard drive the master one.

I don't know what you have tried so far. I apologize if you have tried this already. Boot from the XP CD and do a repair installation.

Then go in and delete Systemworks.
