XP wont see blank disc in CDRW, but Nero works

I've already adjusted the drive type for my CDRW and
DVDRW, but XP will still not recognize any type of blank
disc when trying to burn the files I am able to send to
the drive. Nero works fine.

Ay one point that "My Computer" used to list and show my
drives a "CDRW" (E:) and "DVDRW" (F:), but now it just
labels them generically as both "CD Drive."

Thanks.

Use something like INCD or DirectCD.

XP's built-in burning sux. As it doesnt support
packet-writing, or formatting of CD's.

Indeed it does; it inflicts the worst of both CDR and CDRW.

Like CDR, you can't do packet writing
Like CDRW, you never know what's actually *on* the CD or not (yet)

Anything else is better, even Roxio/Adaptec :)

Hmmm... what was the *other* idea?
