I bought a WD 80 gig USB 2.0 drive for my XP computer.
Install went fine with the quick install guide. Drive was
recognized by XP.
I can read & write to it. However, when I try to reboot
or cold start, BIOS hangs at the first screen. The only
way I can reboot is to disconnect the drive & reset the
computer. I am using a ABIT SR7-8X motherboard & have
other USB 2.0 devices installed without difficulty. I
have tried about everything I can think of to correct the
problem. Any ideas here?
