Xp wont load

I had a USB hub power failure and only thing I could do
is select rest the hub, everything worked fine I shut
down and came back later to start it up again and
computer wont finish starting. Went to recover using CD,
it gets to where it is checking the drive and stops. Safe
mode shows the start up process stops at Driver MUP.SYS
and doesn't go further. How can I get this restarted?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a "usb hub power failure", but you
may have damaged other hardware. Do a RAM test (I like Memtest86) and a
hard drive test (download utility from the hard drive mftr.).
