XP won't auto power off

I think I may have accidentally deleted a driver or dll
file, and now my computer will not auto power off. I
press F1 when the computer starts and change the ups
setting to from enable to auto. Whenever I change it, it
works. Then it doesn't again.

Any advice will be appreciated.
