XP windows problem

Please e-mail me if you have a solution to this problem:
HP 533w with XP windows installed.
Purchased at Wal-Mart and did not get any recover disk of
any kind.
Virus corrupted vgaoem.fon and computer will not boot up
in any mode. Wants recovery disk and type in "r" for
repair, but alas, no disk.
What do I do? Can I go to a friends and copy this file
over onto a floppy and install it from DOS?
Can get to DOS, but cannot do anything with this file
missing.

If you purchased and installed,the disk you used is the
recovery disk.
Install cd,restart computer,select the option when the
text appears,"boot from disk",follow to r (recovery)
