David

I have run the home networking wizard on my XP pc and made a floppy and
installed it on my Win 98 SE laptop.
The laptop recognises itself in Network Neighbourhood but not the XP
machine. I can browse the internet from the laptop thru the XP machine. The
XP machine refuses to recognise the laptop or itself in network
neighbourhood. I can't ping from the laptop to the XP but if I add an IP
address to the laptop I can ping it from the XP machine. I have Norton
firewall installed on the XP but nothing on the laptop. Has the Wizard run
out of Wand?? From the instructions it would seem I have nothing else to
do!!!!!!!

Please help, David

Uninstall the firewall software and see what happens.
