Xp Home ed.---- I start the PC...then it goes directly to an
options(countdown menu) where it asks to pick out four choices.....safe mode,
safe mode w networking, safe mode prompt, etc....but regardless of what I
choose....it will not let me load up...it goes to a blue screen...with an
error message...saying something about win32...driver...read
error...etc.....so I tried to put in the orginal XP-cd rom...and boot from
cd...so I could possibly re-install...but it won't let me...I geta cd-read
error and goes straight to the safe-mode options screen and then to the blue
screen again...Oh yeah..also between the option screen and the blue
screen...windows pops up for about a sec or two....Can someone please help
me/give me some advice.....Thank You.....

Ditto this condition. Plus, when I use the CD to reinstall I get another
blue stop screen. It is not a hardware issue. I have since loaded windows
onto a Maxtor harddrive and then looked at the original windowsxp hard drive
(seagate) which has no errors during a seagate diagnostic. I have tried to
repair and reinstall with no luck. It seems to have happened after the last
security update and subsequent reboot. Booting stops on the driver after
mup.sys.

Thanks as well from me.
