I think I am having the problem that is described in the
Knowledge Base Article 283421 "Error message about
Partition appears when you install windows XP to a dynamic
volume".
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;283421
I don't understand how to resolve it because I am not
really familiar with the terms dynamic, basic disks or
volumes so the resolutions don't really make sense to me.
It's a dell optiplex computer with one 10GB hard drive and
Everytime I delete the partions to create a new partion to
install XP, when it tries to format the hard drive this
error message shows up "Windows XP cannot reconize the
partition you selected. The disk may be corrupted or
damaged" and does not let me install XP, but then I can
reinstall Windows 2000 no problem.
Any solutions or tips how to resolve this would be a big
help.
