Last night apparently there was an update that my computer automatically
downloaded. Windows wanted to restart but I was working on something so i
kept ignoring it.... so now i come home today and i can hear my computer
booting up every few minutes... so i check it out and sure enough it keeps
crashing at the windows loading screen and will not go to username/password
prompt. I cant even start the damn thing in safemode. Nothing was changed
at all for this to happen i run this computer months between reboots.

Please note that before this happened the computer was rebooted a couple
times in the past week or so with no trouble at all. WILL NOT START IN
SAFEMODE!!!

Im gonna try to disconnect some devices but this sure is a sticky situation,
please give me any solutions that come to mind thank you very much!

In the future its best NOT to do autoupdates. ie why update a device
driver that is working perfectly, for example?

You need a floppy with the SATA drivers.
Insert the floppy, boot from XO Install CD, press F6 at the first blue
screen - you'll see a "Press F6 if you need to install additional drivers"
or so. Leave the floppy in the drive till you (re)install XP.
