I just I think Windows ME is the greatest OS ever
released. 50 years from now when people look back at the
evoltution of Microsoft I think Windows ME will be seen
as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

I'm confused... is this flamebait? I didn't think there was one person in
the entire universe that liked WinME.. guess I was wrong.

Most novice and advanced users of windows will disagree with you. ME was
actually a "beta" product to see how some new features would work when
upgrading from win95/98. Also a big marketing gimmik. You are entilted to
your opinion, but you'd be in about the 1% range, as 99% of users with
advanced skills all hate win me. Too buggy and unstable. I'll bet 50 years
from now people won't even remember or care about win me, or win95/98, or
2000 or xp for that matter. Heck ms may not even be in business in 50 years.

LOL!

Good. Glad you like it. No one else seems to. Excercise your freedom of
choice; keep it and use it.

What specific "medication" are you taking, and where can I get
some?

Grin. We had to do a network for a garbage business in Newark NJ. They
just got half a dozen new ME HPs for "cheap". We brought up half a dozen
Linksys usb nics. It' was the easiest network we ever setup. They even
paid cash, in all 20s :)

But, were the bills unmarked?

Windows ME introduced the system file protection and System Restore feature.
So it did something other than push the Win9x kernel to the max in
functionality, to the point of a noticeable
performance drop off that a Windows 98 SE machine and a Windows 2000 machine
didn't expereince.
