I have an old diamond video card w/ trident 3dimage 9750 chipset. It is a pci card with a tv out option. xp installs two devices automatically under the displays in the device manager. both drivers seem to be the correct ones, but the second one (3dimage .... video accelerator...) has the error "this device cannot start". I haven't actually connected it to the tv. Could it be as simple as that? I doubt it. Could it be a resource conflict? Again, doubtfull. I have nothing but a video card. the sound is onboard, the network is running wireless off the usb. If anyone has a solution please let me know. Any help is appreciated. thank you. Oh, by the way. this is a 450 mghz pc with only 64 meg of ram. xp surprizingly runs well on it. I have also tried downloaded drivers for the video card. It shows that i'm installing older drivers than the ones installed by xp. once that's done it shows the same problem. Again Thanx for your help.

disfigyar,

You NEED more RAM!

Please check Event Viewer (Start - > Settings -> Control Panel - > Administrative Tools - > Event Viewer) for possible errors.

Other thing to try:

1. Completely remove XP driver. Restart in Safe Mode, and install manuf. driver.
2. Contact manuf. for resolution.

Good Luck!
